Aer Arann Aircraft Mechanic Apprenticeship Scheme

At Aer Arann we operate ATR42 and ATR72 aircraft type. With busy schedules and constant growth in the airline these aircraft have to withstand constant pressure and meet stringent safety, quality and security requirements. Our aircraft must be highly maintained and repaired by fully qualified, greatly skilled Mechanics and Engineers.
If you are interested in a career in the fast paced aviation industry, have an interest and some proven ability in Mathematics and Physics and also meet the minimum requirements as listed below you may qualify for our New Apprenticeship Scheme based in Galway Airport.
- Aged 18 years or over
- Educated to Leaving Certificate level or equivalent
- The right to live and work in the Republic Ireland
- Good eye sight* and hearing (all applicants will need to pass a full pre-employment medical)
- Problem solving skills
- Methodical and practical
- Apprentices will have to work indoors and outdoors, at heights and in enclosed spaces
This apprenticeship scheme will be run in conjunction with Fás and will follow the course outline and also all Terms and Conditions as laid out in the Fás Apprenticeships Scheme.
